Hoegg Family MBA Scholarship

The Hoegg Family has generously donated this award to a top female candidate who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident as well as a top female foreign applicant for the Master of Business Administration program. The selection of award winners will be based on academic achievement and excellent leadership abilities.

International Talent Scholarships

Dean’s Excellence in Diversity Award

Up to six scholarships are given to incoming MBA candidates who belong to underrepresented groups and who demonstrate equitable merit. Scholars will be chosen based on their proven dedication to fostering an inclusive culture in their communities and success in both academic and professional contexts.

Ray Kruck & Jennifer Vancini Climate Action Leadership MBA Entrance Award

Due to a generous donation from Ray Kruck and Jennifer Vancini, two entry scholarships of $10,000 each are given each year to deserving candidates for the Master of Business Administration program who want to engage in the fields of sustainability and climate change. The ability to successfully address the climate catastrophe must be demonstrated by applicants via prior employment, civic engagement and responsible leadership, as well as their long-term professional goals.

Entrepreneurs Ray Kruck (MBA 1992) and Jennifer Vancini (MBA 1993) have maintained close ties to UBC since receiving their degrees and volunteer their time to UBC Sauder School of Business initiatives like the Creative Destructive Lab – Vancouver while residing in San Francisco. Jennifer is a General Partner at Mighty Capital, and Ray is the CEO and Founder of Tugboat Logic. In order to help future MBA students succeed in their studies and to support the UBC Sauder School of Business in attracting a diverse set of leaders who will have a beneficial influence on the world, Ray and Jennifer founded this prize. The UBC Sauder School of Business Admissions Committee’s recommendations are used to choose the recipients of the prizes.
